Behavior Modification
And Assessment Service
Behavior Modification And Assessment Service
Behavior Modification and Assessment Service involves specially formulated techniques in determining the level of change required by the individual to fully function as a typical person. This is conducted by a Behavior Analyst from People's Care who will be consistently documenting the progress of the individual as the program advances.

The ultimate goal of this program is to create a lifestyle change that is more functional for the individual and the family members who are affected. The positive behaviors will be reinforced and encouraged while those that need to be corrected will be assessed thoroughly.

The core of this People's Care program is the documentation that is summarized into an assessment report that will detail the individual's capabilities, interests and deficits. The assessment will most likely pay attention to the extremity of the individual's undesirable behaviors such as:

  • aggression
  • tendency to self-injure
  • smearing
  • destruction of property
  • running or wandering away
  • depressive-like behavior
  • reaction to frustration
  • repetitive body movements
  • inappropriate undressing; and
  • hyperactivity

After assessment by the Behavior Analyst, an Individual Training Plan can be created. It will be designed to hit all areas of concern with the application of effective methods to reduce problem behaviors by providing specific suggested actions in place of the accustomed behavior and arranging follow up services to monitor the consistency of method application to the individual undergoing the program.

The Behavior Modification and Assessment Service is ideally flexible to fit the changes that may occur while the program is applied. The individual will work closely with job coaches as well as the Behavior Analyst to meet the Individual Training Plan objectives.
