Welcome to People's Care
Taking pride in caring for people
Our Services
It cannot be said enough. Our business and main focus at People's Care is – caring for people. There are many ways to carry out this function so you and your loved ones can benefit from it. We achieve this through various programs that have lasted the test of time. We operate:

The major components of our programs are outlined by the following:

1. A Kaiser Specialized Residential Facility will have a licensed capacity of four (4) non-ambulatory beds.
2. A private sound proof bedroom will be provided for each individual resident.
3. A fenced yard with swing set and a park nearby should be available within the comfortable reaches of the location.
4. With our aim to address the residential as well as behavioral needs of individuals being discharged from State Developmental Centers, we employ only qualified and experienced consultants and staff.
5. A Kaiser Specialized Residential Facility will offer a highly structured program, which includes a night component able to deal with behavioral disturbances, or excesses, which occur during the late hours of the night and early morning.

Our People - on Cultural Variety

To support the cultural uniqueness of each person under our care, a culturally sensitive program is applied in the hiring of staff members. The staff members will go through the rigid process of background checks, evaluation of qualifications and extensive interviews.

Those who we hire must either share the culture of the individual that is being served, or is receptive to cultural training. This is extremely important to foster harmonious relationships and a long term association between your loved one and the caregiver.

A Cultural Consultant for each different culture or ethnicity served will be hired to provide ongoing training to staff. This consultant position will be filled by one of the following three ways:

1. One of the many staff that already works for People's Care, that is a member of, or has intimate knowledge of the culture and customs of the consumer served may receive extra non-client care hours of work to teach other staff about cultural uniqueness.

2. In the event that a consumer's culture is unfamiliar to the People's Care, staff, every attempt will be made to either hire a DSP (Direct Support Professional) that belongs to the culture or has intimate knowledge of the culture.

3. In the event no DSP representing the culture of the consumer can be hired, every attempt will be made to locate and hire a consultant that is either a member of the culture of the consumer or has intimate knowledge of the culture and customs of the consumer served.

We plow through cultural diversities. If you have inquiries about the availability of a caregiver who is familiar with a specific culture or ethnicity, please call us at (626) 869-0558.
